They did a terrific job with frames I already had and loved. They provided all the information I needed to make sure I got a perfect fit and optical correction without physically being in a retail store.
Love my new glasses. Good quality progressive office lenses. Will definitely use again! Thank you Dr. Lens Change.
Good quality lenses. No adjustments needed. Will come back for sure
Quick and convenient process. Lenses seem fine so far.
Bought new frames with clear lenses online (Tom Ford… ‘spensive), then sent them to Dr. Lens Change. Took forever to hear back…probably a US to Canada thing. Followed instructions on their site to give them info about the frames. Some time much later they sent an email, “we can’t process cuz you didn’t hold a ruler to your forehead while wearing the glasses…once you do that we can move forward”… um…uh… but you have my frames?…and the only request for a picture I saw was for a picture of the frames which I sent…not a picture of me wearing them with a rule on my forehead…so I had to pick a similar pair of reading glasses to use as a proxy to send. Sent it…waited another week. No update. “Hey what’s the story?” … “we received your image and will update you when it’s on it way back to you.” Couple weeks later, no answer. No update on their website for my order. Hunted down someone in customer service. All kinda screwy right? BUT the person answering the phone took time to truly find out what was going on and called back. “The lenses Essilor sent were scratched so we had to reorder…sorry for the delay”. Another couple of weeks went by, “what’s going on?”…same issue…no update on website. Hunted down another human…but same thing…very nice, genuinely interested I helping. Found the answer… Dr. Lens Change was struggling to get the lenses installed so they sent my frames to Essilor and said, “you guys do it… your lenses are weird, you figure it out.” Very honest answer. Felt totally in the loop. A few days later I got an email saying they were on the way…got em in a couple of days. They are perfect! Great lenses…and they are Office Progressives (computer screen and reading) …and they nailed it. Website - unclear and irritating. Speed - slow. Updates - dragging and had to prod. BUT they’re very nice, professional, and did a great job. Future: yes I’ll order from them and will have to remember to take a picture with a ruler on my head before sending the frames…and to be ready for a two month turnaround. All good.
I have always used bifocal for this type of prescription and these are progressive which I am taking time to adjust to.
The one big drawback of not getting glasses made through your optometrist is that when there is a problem with the prescription there's not much you can do about it. Everything about my new computer glasses is perfect except I can't see the computer! There seems to be very little difference between the reading distance and mid distance. I don't know if it is a problem with the lenses or with my prescription. I was so happy to use my own frame which fits so well but the trade off is that my new glasses only work well for reading. The service at Dr. Lenschange is excellent but if I had paid the bucks to my optometrist I could have taken the glasses back to them and whatever the issue is, they would have fixed it for me. It's the drawback of on-line service from a company on the opposite side of the country I guess.
